Here at the Barking Station, we strive to provide top quality pet care, whether we care for your pet in our home or yours. Your pet's health and safety, and your own peace of mind, are our top priorities.

Key to our boarding style is supervised play and dog socialization within a home-like atmosphere. Dogs are free to romp, play, rest, or do whatever they want, within reason of course. We constantly oversee that the dogs are happy and safe in a structured and controlled environment.

Experience
The Barking Station is run by owner Alex Pacheco from his home in San Francisco, CA which has some of the best dog parks and beautiful beaches around. Prior to his current location, he ran the business from a house in San Francisco’s Richmond District beginning in late 2002 and also in the town of Sonoma, CA.

During his many years of experience with boarding dogs at The Barking Station, Alex has implemented an effective and positive method of handling dogs taught by professional dog trainer Courtney Gunter of The Whole Pet. Before starting the business, Alex spent several years as a store manager of a large pet supply franchise. There he studied pet handling, safety and nutrition.
